Debut album for the Brazilians Vulthum who propose just under forty minutes of Black Metal full of an evil aura of the past!

Released in 2021 by Drakkar Production (South America Division), "Shadowvoid". Eight tracks with simple but effective songwriting: few, but well-chosen, riffs for each song, sometimes more melodic, others more direct and with a Black n'Roll attitude.

The overall sound works well, we find the 90's style, characterized by guitars with a well-balanced rough distortion, drums with excellent sounds and patterns appropriate to the genre, bass present, and recognizable timbre, and, finally, the voice that makes extensive use of "eco" style effects, sometimes too much.

Among the songs, similar to each other in quality, it is worth mentioning the title track with its alternation of fast and rhythmic riffs, the closest to the Epic Black Metal "Horned Realms Rise" and the following icy "Enter the Spectral Gates".

Genuine work, good overall, however with more variety in songwriting would have had a greater impact on the listener; all that remains is to wait for the next album.
