"Black Hysteria" is the second EP of Tenebrae Oboriuntur, bands from Apulia region ( south Italy ) and active since the middle of 90's. In 1996 they released their first EP " Waiting for Satan's rising ", while their first full length " Fallax " is dated 2019.The band plays a refined Black Metal, where the intertwining of the guitars, dissonant at times, weave a plot full of malice! Bass guitar, present but not invasive, creates an ideal background to the whole sound. Worth to mention is also the excellent work of the drummer Summum Algor ( already active in several Black Metal acts ), which with his tight drumming accompanies every single riff of the songs, turning the whole listening pretty fluent. All musicians are technically prepared, and the singer recalls of Abbath style, though with a lower tonality. Compositional level of " Black Hysteria " is varied and able to take the listener into a black vortex; fast paced parts recall of Immortal' s " Blizzard Beasts ", while slower moments bring back to mind Marduk's " Wormwood " era. The clear production make all the instruments to be distinguished, and it enhances the work done by every single member of the band. The short length of the work doesn' t affect its quality. On the contrary, as often happens,"less is more".
