Sadomaster is a guitarist who in recent years has become the protagonist of some musical realities of the Italian Black Metal scene, first in Ghostly Aerie Coven and, as the mastermind, in Griverion, which we reviewed positively some time ago.

Morcolac was born in 2021 and through their music, they intend to convey vampire themes, the latter much appreciated by the aforementioned artist.

The work is not entirely convincing, some guitar riffs are of a good standard, such as in "Blackmoon Devourer", or the initial and main riff of the song "Redwater Fansource" and again in "Nocturnal Wings", however the result in the together it is rather gaunt.

The synths lines have an unbalanced volume and excessively overwhelm all the other instruments, making it difficult to understand the songs.

The drumming of session-man A.B. does not help to improve listening: the execution is approximate, in some parts he doesn't play in time correctly, the composition is monotonous and devoid of any hint of fills, the parts that try to be fast and aggressive do not reach the goal.

If this was meant to be a tribute to the Prince of Darkness, unfortunately, it does not prove to be up to par with many others that have followed one another over time.
