Supported by a massive promotional campaign by Swedish Black Lion records, the Americans Iatt, present their third album "Magnum Opus" anticipating the release of the same with four very captivating and professional video clips.

It is complicated to quote one song over another because the compositional-executive level is high throughout its duration, the guitars know how to be a sound wall in most Death Metal parts, sharper in proposing a riffing of pure Black Metal mould, crazy and mysterious in the act of enhancing the Fusion-Jazz moments. A splendid example is "Servitude Subugate", a song in which it is evident how Black Metal and avant-garde music can coexist with exceptional results.

In "Ouroboros" we witness the performance on sax by Jørgen Munkeby of The Shining (Nor), a musician and composer outside of any scheme, at this juncture, able to carry within the song the musical madness we have become accustomed to in decades of bands like Arcturus; "Elixir of

Immortality ", accompanied online by a practical video clip that conveys esoteric concepts at the basis of this recording project, is enhanced by the work of the drums: dynamic, violent, precise and

effective. The influences of Behemoth and Dimmu Borgir are evident in "Demiurgos (Architect of Disaster)", pure iconoclastic fury combined with persuasive synth melodies. "Seven Wandering Stars" and "Chrysopoeia" accompany the listening session by presenting a more progressive aspect of this band.

"Magnum Opus" is certainly not an album that will satisfy the tastes of the most uncompromising listeners and tied to the schemes of the genre, for all the others listening becomes a duty.
