Reggio Emilia (North Italy) and Bangkok (Thailand) come together in this split released in 2021 which features three songs by the Italians Galpedar and four others by the Thai one-man-band Awicha on the tracklist.

Galpedar proposes a rather simple Raw Black Metal, the ideas put into play are appreciable, but what penalizes the band is the production, the excessively elementary and unconvincing drum programming, sometimes the lack of executive precision.

The guitars have a mild distortion that highlights the uncertainties in the execution, the drum programming, a scourge of today's productions if used with little knowledge, does not help to make the compositions effective ... the bass instead has an appropriate sound and the voice, although is quite effective, it is in line with the style. "Eridan Hordes" is the most successful song, with its melodic "refrain", but it is not enough to save this work, unfortunately ... an attractive product only for fans of ultra-Lo-Fi productions ...

Emperor Viperon, the only mind of the Awicha project, offers in this split, four devastating tracks in the Dark Funeral' style!

Opens "Blood Offering" with its infernal and epic Swedish school riffs, a compressed sound that draws in the coils of this demonic entity, geographically so far from the northern European countries, but so close in terms of inspiration; follows violent and martial "Cleans Your Sins With Blood", more direct and shorter "I Deny Your God!", closes the pressing "Impaling the Flesh of God".

Production sparse, but very valid, the instruments are well distinguishable, but at the same time well mixed, notable the wickedness conveyed by the riffs which, even if they do not bring anything innovative, are convincing and particularly inspired, worthy of note also the drum programming that gives an extra gear to songwriting and sound in general, the vocals are also very good.

    Unexpected positive surprise from Bangkok!
