Born from the ashes of the Bodels, the Swedes Eosphorus make a comeback after exactly eight years from the acclaimed full-length "Winds of Apep" produced by Wormholedeath, patron of the Northern European combo in the last decade.

The four songs present in “From Fire Into Birth” do not differ stylistically from the previous record production, this is also because they were composed and produced at the same time, but published only now. The title track immediately highlights that we are faced with excellent musicians who draw heavily from the lesson imparted by sacred monsters such as Dissection, then majestic guitars that alternate with solemn and impressive parts, and other melodic and visionary parts, all supported by reasoned and incisive drumming.

The vocal lines are excellent, a real strength of the band that, in songs like “Charnel Ground” and “They Fall”, goes from ethereal and melancholy traits to a powerful and malignant screaming.

“Behold The Pyre”, rhythmic and harmonious, is a tribute to Dissection and the whole Swedish Black Metal movement.

Eosphorus, with “From Fire Into Birth”, is not distinguished by originality, but confirms how Sweden, even in the deepest underground, continues to be the womb of excellent bands and a point of reference for the entire international extreme scene.
