The Swiss duo Eos Erethis released in 2019 the first work, produced by Krasta Records: a twenty-six minute EP of Black Metal similar to the Cascadian trend, in which the atmosphere is the predominant part of the work. These are five songs with a strong emotional involvement in which the band manages to convey a set of sensations ranging from anguish to anger and touching nostalgic nuances. The band reaches the listener managing to kidnap his mind, composing without unnecessary frills and making simple but well-articulated songs. The guitars, dark and reverberated, move between disruptive chords and arpeggios at times pleasantly dissonant, generating an unhealthy and wild sound "environment" that lasts throughout the entire release. The drum is quite compressed and the voice with an original timbre is scratchy, both are drowned in the sound. The latter is perhaps slightly penalized by the production which puts it in the shade compared to the rest, especially when it goes down to lower tones. There are many affinities with Hate Forest. The sound is comparable to that style, but the peculiarity that characterizes this band is the lyrics in Italian, which contributes to making the proposal original in the multitude of similar releases. A promising debut EP that bodes well for future releases!
