At first, it is necessary and important to point out that Deorc Absis know very well what they are doing and with this mini-album, released on the American label Redefining Darkness Records, they demonstrate good musical technique and compositional skills. The Italian band debuted with "The Nothingness Transfiguration", 3 songs, for a total duration of about 14 minutes, ranging from the most sincere Black Metal to a relatively technical Death Metal and emphasizing the majesty of the recording with interesting symphonic parts, without ever climbing into futile and exasperated technicalities. The comparison with some songs by the Norwegians Dodheimsgard is inevitable.

The choice to exploit a wide stylistic spectrum could suggest an initial inability to define one's musical intentions coherently and synthetically, but, it is an important characteristic thanks to which, from the first listening, one finds oneself immersed in an ' atmosphere permeated by coherent and compact sounds that drag within a unique concept.

The composition is always direct, dark, and sometimes dissonant, but the most appreciable peculiarity is that it is never too melodic, an aspect that characterizes the entire recording and defines the intention of the band to realize a gloomy project and satisfying for lovers of the most extreme and, at the same time, more particular metal. A note of credit goes to the vocalist Claudio Miniati, with a guttural and cold voice, who interprets and enriches the entire work with absolutely adequate performance. The bass lines emerge particularly and again for compositional skills, nevertheless, drums and guitars are well played and follow refined lines, rarely taken for granted. The Nothingness Trasfiguration is certainly a good proposal, although 15 minutes are very short to fully define the talent of Deorc Absis, it still offers a very interesting listening. Waiting for new material, we promote the band with flying colours, confident of being able to confirm that we are in front of a skilled and more than convincing musical reality.
