The rising sun, the inner resurrection that occurs after passing the abodes of darkness, not only represents a cornerstone of phallic-solar cultures, is also a symbol of a nation, Japan, where this interesting Black Metal band comes from! Released this year by the ever-active Drakkar Productions, a French label based in Millau, "Angeist" is certainly not an album that shines for originality, but the technical level is remarkable, as is the good compositional taste of the mastermind Adeptus Juno, great guitarist and keyboard player. "Bortenfor Grensen" has the task of opening the dances, a depressive-style beginning with a voice reminiscent of Arcturus, and then exploding in the classic Cradle of Filth (Midian period), voices recited, whispered, there is a lot in this song; in "Through the Aperture of Time" the guitars are the protagonists, very violent riffs, a well-developed and engaging solo enriched by a central part of a Devil Doll-style organ, like goosebumps! "Angela Krudeliis" is the song that most of all is associated with the best Dimmu Borgir, all enhanced by an excruciating screaming, as well as recited parts. "The Darkenbound" is a pleasant orchestral suite that breaks the tension so far breathed and in the next song, "L'autre Serpent", the voice of RMS Hreidmarr gives a freshness to the sound of the track even if it is necessary to dwell on the fact that the voice of Adeptus U: E ': is versatile and dynamic throughout the entire duration of the album with a truly incredible playing technique! With absolute naturalness, he contrasts lyrical vocal lines with screaming, uses tones at the human limit and then performs recited and evocative parts on very low tones ... congratulations! “Separation of AEthyr” and “Wrestoration” represent the sum of what was previously described; the last mention deserves the drummingk developed by Adeptus Summum Algor, also in this album, powerful and accurate!
