This Italian duo finally realizes, after two EPs previously released and a short distance from each other, their first Full-length entitled "Tenebris Templum": from the very first notes of the album you are metaphorically accompanied into a dark temple!
The band's main weapon is a dark and claustrophobic sound, chosen to throw the listener into darkness; saturated and hyper distorted guitars, together with an abysmal bass, dominate a linear but violent drum programming, mainly aimed at beating the tempo of the songs and supporting the sounds.
Occasional synth inserts, particularly successful, characterize this thick sound wall, made overwhelming by the unhealthy screaming that alternates with a deep growl, very reverberated and with dilated metrics: diabolical!
Rather simple songwriting, with typical but effective solutions; we will never find ourselves in front of classic Black Metal outbursts with immoderate speeds or sudden changes of tempo, but rather incessant martial progress of the songs, interspersed with stop and go and dissonances in line with modern releases. This is the case of the opener "XI", or "The Awakening", in which some experimental industrial-style ideas, used in the past by pioneers such as Aborym or Mysticum, stand out.
The work "Saeculari Ludicio" concludes, a disturbing instrumental outro that, as at the end of a ritual, accompanies us outside the dark temple, still pervaded by a sense of anguish and despair and lets us imagine what the band may be capable of in the future; to keep an eye on!
