"Glaurung IV, Sicilian by birth, but Norwegian in spirit, from the first notes, makes us understand what he wants to convey with his one-man band LYKTEN: no intercession, only suffering.
The guitar is rather raw and plays simple, repeated riffs, transporting the listener into the gloomy atmosphere that the title of the Mini "When the Clouds Approached and Covered the Moon" suggests.
The rhythmic guitar that opens the second track "Severed head as a Source of Truth, Wisdom and Healing", totally draws in the song characterised by persuasive compositions.
The almost obligatory choice of using the drum machine does not distort the intentions; Glaurung IV has chosen sounds absolutely suited to the stylistic choice of the work.
Really appreciable what has been done on the voice line: the timbre expresses the wickedness that is expected from a record of this kind and the use of effects further improves the final result.
The performance of sung in Italian in the last song of the EP "Sangue di Drago" was very successful.
We certainly look forward to the next releases!
